Welcome Autumn - Welcome Friends

Welcome Autumn - Welcome Friends

Fall carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons. We’re thinking pumpkins, hay rides, apple pies, everything nice Welcome Autumn.

Thanksgiving Day is right on the corner.  It is a chance for all of us to give thanks for a good harvest and other fortunes in the past year.

Most of us use the Thanksgiving weekend to visit family or friends who live far away, or to receive them in our homes for a nice meal. Traditionally, on the menu are roast turkey and seasonal produce, such as pumpkin, corn ears and pecan nuts.

The Thanksgiving weekend is also a popular time to take a short autumn vacation. This may be the last chance in a while for some people to use cottages or holiday homes before winter sets in. It’s always nice to include outdoor breaks to admire the spectacular colors of the autumn.

Here at Besste we will be counting our blessings this Thanksgiving, and being friend with you is one of them. Thank you for helping to make Besste what it is. We are  thankful to have friends like you – not just on Thanksgiving, but every day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Let’s get excited! It’s October 31 so It is Halloween  It is a day to mark the single night in the year when, according to old Celtic beliefs, spirits and the dead can cross over into the world of the living.

Let’s celebrate the traditions of Halloween with costume parties, telling tales of witches and ghosts, going with kids trick-or-treating in the neighborhood and collecting candy along the way.

We decorate the porch with spooks, ghosts and skeletons that represent the contact between the spiritual and physical world and between the living and the dead.

Also witches and wizards are represented, who are seen to have the power to contact the spirit world and they are accompanied by bats, black cats, spiders as these animals are associated with the night and darkness.

The back yard gets decked out with some Halloween decorations. These include fire, gravestones, pumpkins, bones and skulls. They all have connections with death, the spirit world or protecting property from evil spirits.

To all of Besste friends wishing you Happy Halloween!

Have a spook-tacular, boo-tiful, wooo-nderful, and fang-tastic Halloween!
